Sept 4-5: The Party We've Been Meaning to Throw
We get asked a lot: when's your anniversary? Honestly, we don't have a great answer.
Is it December, when this whole thing started? March, when we did our first market? July, when the original store opened its doors? Or February, when we moved into the home we're in now?
We've gone back and forth on this for a while, and every date has a case for it. So this year we gave up trying to pick the "right" one. Instead, we're celebrating our founder's birthday, September 4th, and calling it our official bash. Close enough.
What's happening
Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, we're throwing a two-day thank-you to everyone who's shopped local with us since day one (whenever that was).
Swag bags for the first 50 people through the door. These aren't dog-only. We've packed goodies for cats too, because half our customers have a feline running the house and we don't forget that.

Saturday is Pup Cup Party day. Come by, grab a pup cup, let your dog enjoy a treat that's actually made for them.
Sample bar out for the pups, all weekend. And yes, we've got on-sale picks for the cats too, so it's genuinely a weekend for the whole household.
Why we're doing this
We didn't set out to build a store with an identity crisis about its own birthday. We just started small, kept showing up, and the business grew in stages that don't fit neatly into one anniversary date. That's kind of the story of any small business, though, isn't it? A string of decisions and doors and moves that add up to something, even if the calendar never quite agrees on when it "officially" began.
So instead of picking a fight with our own history, we're throwing a party for our founder instead. Come say happy birthday, grab a swag bag, treat your dog to a pup cup, and let your cat in on the deals too.
