Our Story: The Family Behind Puppy Community

If your dog's morning walk is the most reliable part of your day, you already understand why Puppy Community exists.

We started the same way most good things in this neighborhood do — on the sidewalk. Jeremiah walks our rescue, Selma, through Downtown Little Rock every morning, the kind of walk where you learn every dog on the block by name before you learn their owner's. Rachel spends her days pushing for a more walkable, bikeable city, so the streets you and your pet actually use every day work a little better. And Emma, who's been fostering kittens every summer since she could hold one, has the same soft spot for animals the rest of us do. If we wouldn't trust something for our own pets, it doesn't make the cut.

That's the real difference between our shelves and a big-box aisle: everything up there passed through someone who genuinely loses sleep over what goes near your pet.

We opened our doors in July 2025 to bring it all together in one spot — The Neighborhood Pantry for food and treats, The Wear & Wander for gear, plus free local delivery and an online boutique for the days you can't make it in. But the shop itself is really just the excuse. What we're building is a place where you and your pet are known — where the person behind the counter remembers your dog's name before they remember yours, and where stopping by regularly makes you part of something, not just a customer number.
