🐾Meet Maxton

Hello, my name is Maxton, Maxton Eugene if I’m in “trouble”! I’m an 11 year old Dachshund & Jack Russell mix and boooyyy do I have the looks of a Dachshund but the energy of a Jack Russell.

I spent the majority of my life in good ole North Carolina but a little over a year ago, my daddy up and moved us to Little Rock. I didn’t mind, as long as I was with my numero uno … wait why am I speaking like a Chihuahua?? … anyway, as long as I was with my favorite human, it didn’t matter where we went. I tend to be supper lazy during the day on weekdays, saving up all that energy I mentioned earlier for when dad gets home from work. I really wish he didn’t have to work and that he could spend all day with me but I have an expensive lifestyle he has to maintain so I give him a pass.

Speaking of, oh my gosh, you should see allllll my toys, I have sooo many and they just keep coming. We live above this amazing doggy store called Puppy Community and I can’t help but feel as if that’s what it will be like in doggy heaven, but I’m in no rush to find out. Dad took me into the store once and let me pick out anything I wanted, sorry dad, but I know it makes you happy seeing me so happy. I think he learned taking me with him was a bad idea so instead, new toys and treats randomly come home with him, and I’m just as happy.

Anyway, more about me … I’m a very vocal little guy, I like to bark at everyone and anything and sometimes I just randomly bark and dad can’t figure out why but he just lets me be. I love every human I come in contact with even though my bark may say otherwise but once I make it to them, they’re my new best friend. Dogs on the other hand, I’m a little standoffish as they tend to back me in a corner and I don’t like that very much.

There’s a park next to where we live and I’ve seen rabbits and squirrels but I don’t know much about them, so I just let them be, I’m invading their home after all so I want to be a nice guest.

Wow, this has been really hard to type since I have no thumbs but I gotta say one more thing before I go take a nap … remember how I mentioned the store Puppy Community earlier, you HAVE to go check them out, my friends Jeremiah & Rachel own it and they are amazing humans, and don’t worry, if you don’t have a doggy, they have cat stuff too!!

Ok, it’s nap time, but imma sign this like the lady on one of my favorite show’s narrator does …
